Hello Brightness,
Happy new year and I hope this year brings you all of the shining lights of God much more than you can ask for.
Two days ago, I came across a post on Instagram that requires that you write your buzzword for the year, asides from the theme for the year in church, I never have one for myself even with all my pages of resolutions, okay so here’s the story: I thought of what my own buzz word could be and all I could hear was “just do it” I know that doesn’t sound like a word to you; I quickly did my homework by going to the dictionary to look for a word to wrap these 3 words, guess what I found? CHALLENGE, even while writing that down my heart skip for a second but I’m convinced that was my word!
In the spirit of “challenges” I came across this Latin word “carpediem” and I decided to write something I could paste on my wall l to remind me of the new race ahead of me this year, of course without pressure from nowhere ‘cos Jesus will be there with me all the way.
“car·pe di·em”
used to urge someone to make the most of the present time and give little thought to the future.
Origin:
Latin, ‘seize the day!’
It’s the start of a new decade
The birth of fresh ideas and all the motivation you will ever need.
I say “NO” to all of the fears that have left me with nothing but time wasted.
If we are going to contribute to making this world heaven on earth; then I think NOW is the time!
Forward is the new focus;
Opportunities abound everywhere and all I just need is new strategies to get earn that trophy I’ve always wished for.
As far as I can remember, I haven’t been able to climb on the back of this horse called “wishes”. So, I ‘d better start this race with my two legs running until I get it.
Yes! while on this race, I will pause to drink water (I really do mean that), I will take all the rest needed and have fun along the way, but one thing I won’t do is to get distracted by the loud chattering of the crowd.
I am seizing the day for the rest of this 365 meters ahead, are you running with me?
Stay Shiny,
Oyinkan_godstreasure
